In time for the upcoming Insomnia 66 this April, Reason Gaming make a return to CS:GO by securing the services of the Stifmeister Gaming line-up.
This is Reason’s first return to CS:GO since 2017, and we’re thrilled to announce we’re returning with a team in the scene we call home. The roster of Stifmeister, headed up by team captain and IGL Sam “Astroo” Gresham, left Fierce at the start of February. Before leaving Fierce, the team managed to pick up two second place finishes at the ESL Premiership and Grosvenor Championship finals, and a top four finish in the WESG West Europe competition, where they knocked out Vexed.
The team features names fans of UKCS will recognise, from veteran Reece “Puls3” Marrs to intercontinental traveller, Tramaine “stan1ey” Stanley lining up with familiar names Aaron “Frei” Frei and Tom “Jenko” Jenkinson as well as the aforementioned captain. The squad have a strong winning pedigree, sharing 11 ESL Premiership trophies, 11 Insomnia titles, three epicLAN titles and two Grosvenor Championship titles.
The team have finished their regular season matches in ESEA Advanced with a record of 9-7, and await a draw into the playoffs. On top of attending Insomnia 66, the team are expected to take part in the next season of the ESL Premiership and other upcoming UK LAN events and online tournaments.
On joining, George “Whitey” White said:
We are all super proud to have the chance to join Reason Gaming and to represent them in the upcoming iSeries, with how much history they have as an organisation we are hoping to add to that amazing history with a tournament win soon which is well overdue for us.
Adam “Blanks” Heath, MD of Reason Gaming, added:
It’s been far too long since Reason has had a team attend an iSeries, or even a CSGO team representing us, but this roster felt like the perfect fit. I can’t wait to see what these guys pull out the bag in the coming months!
The Reason Gaming CS:GO roster is as follows:
